Jenny's Birthday Weekend

We had an excellent weekend with Jenny, family and friends. Hopefully you will see by the photos that there was lots going on, and most importantly Jenny had a great time. There was some bad news (oops), don't mention the football, we will leave this subject alone.

Dan, Marie and the kids came up on Saturday and were with us by lunch time. There was a fancy dress party on Saturday night starting in Em and Dan's flat in Manchester. Obviously (because that's what grandparents do) me and Liz baby sat Leila and Seth who were perfectly behaved. We saw photos of the party next day and heard the (older) kids come in, during the early hours, and we were assured the next day that the party had been very exciting.

I picked mum up from her return trip from the Phillipines and that went well. Dan got up early with the kids, after an inadequate couple of hours sleep. And then it was Jenny's birthday event. Obviously it was presents first and as they say "she did well". Bacon butties and plenty of brews and it was time to go to the (don't mention it) footy. After the footy (still don't mention it)we met Liz and Em in Manchester and battled with the shoppers (what recession) and eventually found an ok restaurant. Most of us (oops except Jenny) had a nice meal and then the girls went out on the town, while me and Liz sloped off home. The girls had a great night out and that was it.

Hi Andy

up to speed with this news but good to see and summarised in this format, it works well for me and reads well. So busy, with parties and kids and footy then mum then jennys birthday, meals out etc, (not necessarily in that order) doesn't seem possible to fit it all in, sounds fun for all...nearly all, footy result would have made it but....
