Hopefully you can get a flavour of the weekend from these three photos here, some more posted on Flickr. It was a very happy weekend with Dan, Marie and of course Leila and Seth coming up for the weekend and mum's belated birthdy celebration. Needless to say all went well.
On Saturday the Hook Bowdens arrived before lunch, a good trip up. Needless to say Sheila came, which was nice. After a liesurely lunch we went to Manchester for shopping and general Christmas type events. Me and Liz were keen to buy the kids some shoes and winter coats (boring but practical Christmas presents), that happened ok, kids were kitted out. We then went on the Christmas market and I have to say that I had the best hot dog I have ever had in my life, it was amazing. Dan Vernon came after a MoM performance at hockey, he dipped out at the hot dog. We then tried to "do" the market and that was difficult, it was so busy. Beer was definitely called for and drunk, but it was too busy for kids, so poor Dan missed out on his beer. The beer drinkers headed for home and the X factor, that had the expected Alexandra outcome.
Sunday morning we hung about a bit, took the kids on the park, while girls got ready for the big do. Lunch was at 1.00pm and a few beers went down very well before and during the meal. A little cramped in the traditional Robbies pub, the Church Inn, Cheadle Hulme. Mum was on sparkling form, mixing well with all there. Food was very good. Mostly family went and Maxine's Joe and Em's Dan Vernon. Kids were very well behaved throughout the meal, we were proud of them.
