Family Weekend

As you can see from the photos we had a family weekend, with lots of stuff going on. Dan and family came up to see Emily and Dan Vernon before they are off on their very exciting trip, they go next Wednesday. Emily says she will do a blog, watch this space.

Dan and co. arrived about 11.30 and after lunch we went to the garden centre for (what else?) a ride on the train. As you can see from the photo the "kids" really enjoyed it. We had two nights out planned for one weekend, wow that is good going for us. Thirteen of us (including kids, four generations of family etc) went for a super meal at the Olive Press in Cheadle Hulme. It all went well, kids flagged near the end way past their bed time. Meal and the mood were top class.

There is a lot of sickness about right now! Seth in particular was ill on Sunday especially (don't mention him being sick Saturday night), but a few of us also had spells of feeling grotty, which doesn't help. So unfortunately Dan, Marie and kids had to get going on Sunday while the rest of us were lazy and then got ready for our second event of the weekend. Cathy's birthday meal at the March Hare and then to the local boozer for (wisper it) a bit of a boozy do, but good fun, we enjoyed it.
